Glenn Beck is setting up his very own distance-based university. (http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/42502/)
Now, normally, I’m all about different viewpoints, and I’ve even appeared on Fox News, so I’m pretty sure I would have the same reaction to Al Franken University.
There are two things that I am wondering about.
1) How much coin did they have to lay on that Lousiana State guy to get on board (and if it was seven figures, would they offer it to me?), and
2) Could they use the word “keynote speaker” any more repetitively in the bio for David Buckner? He is very keynotey in his keynoteness, this man. There was time when I was feeling rather keynotey myself, but no, nowhere near as very completely keynotey as this. But even this guy doesn’t have his very own “massive library-museum” like the first dude. My library-museum feels inadequate just thinking about his massive library-museum. A massive library-museum is probably even better than an underground lair, having sharks with laser beams on their heads, or ill-tempered sea bass.
It’s got its very own coat of arms!
I have a proposal for you, Glenn, old buddy: Seven figures, and I’ll be your first ever, founding Chair of Generally Truthy Things. Think about it. Have your people call my people.
