Richard Green on the difference that streets make

My colleague Richard Green takes up the question that Ed Glaeser raises: Do cities need skyscrapers for population density? The answer is yes and no–depending on the context, as always, right?

Richard, however, points out a really clever thing about the cumulative effect that street size makes. Take a look.
