I got married to most wonderful privileged henchmen a super-villain could ever have. I played this song for Andy repeatedly back then–of course, it was ironic to talk about what you are going to do when you are 64 when you are, in fact, 20, because 64 seems a lifetime away then.
20 years later, it’s not so ironic.
Here’s to us, at any age we get to have.
We were married in ’68, when the tune in question was brand new, and it was a part of the wedding music (musch to my mother-in-law’s dismay). Wedding was in Carthay Circle. Last month, Elise threw me a big “When I’m 64” birthday and friends came from miles around 🙂
