Goodbye to USC environmental pioneer, John Peters

John M. Peters, the Hastings Professor of Preventive Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and a renowned authority on the effects of air pollution on health, died May 6 at his home in San Marino, Calif., following a prolonged fight with pancreatic cancer. He was 75.
